SPRING Forest School Registration
Empowerment through hands-on real world skills in nature. Students get in-touch with nature and learn about safety and self-sufficiency in the wilderness. Fun and games foster connection and natural learning. Every season brings new lessons on Medicinal, Edible & Poisonous plants. We learn about local birds & animals, what sounds they make, the tracks they leave and how we can care for them and our forest.
What activities does our Forest School entail?
Wilderness Survival & Bushcraft Building
Artisan & Nature based Crafting
Seed Starting, Developing, Planting, Caring for & Harvesting from Permaculture Gardens
Fire Building, Safety & Cooking
Identification, Foraging & Processing of Botanicals into teas, salves, poultices etc.
Wheel of the Year Celebrations & Student Craft Markets
Outdoor Physical Education like Forest Running, Obstacle Courses & Yoga
Archery & Spear Throwing
Outdoor Games like Animal Tag, Capture the Flag & Races
Journaling, Meditation and Drawing
Drumming, Song & Story Telling
Typical Daily Schedule
9-11am Babe & Tot Nature Play & Walk
11am-12pm Meadow Forage & Picnic
12pm-1pm Forest Walk & Forage
1-2pmFire, Journal & Snack
2-3pm Gardens, Nature Craft(Tykes), Wilderness & Survival Lessons(Kids&Teens)
3-4pm Physical Activities, Games & Races
Weekly Activities may vary depending on weather & season.
Changes to activities or required items will be emailed out the week before, and in some cases of extreme weather, the night before.
Attire: Weather appropriate outdoor clothes, shoes or boots. Various & extra layers. Long pants with socks to protect from thorns, water, bugs etc. Think hiking gear.
Required to bring: A Journal & Pencil. Water Bottle, Snacks & Lunch. Bag or Backpack to keep belongings together, Extra Clothes, Collection and Foraging bags or containers.
Optional: Personal Sunscreen or Bug Spray. (We recommend natural based and will also have a natural based spray on hand to share.

Please Note: If joining part way through session we will pro-rate the tuition.
Partial or Full Scholarships may also be available for families that require assistance.

At Forest & Wilderness School students learn about safety and self sufficiency in the wilderness! We go over Medicinal, Edible & Poisonous plants and wildlife precautions and identification. We’ll get to know the local birds & animals, what sounds they make, the tracks they leave and how we can care for them and our forest. We include useful life skills like permaculture and traditional arts and crafts.
Attire: Please dress your child in weather appropriate outdoor clothes & shoes/boots. Various & extra layers are helpful. Gloves, Shoes or Boots with socks to protect from thorns, water, bugs etc.
