Devin scott
Devin Scott is a Folkvangr Founder & Forest School teacher, he’s also an author and head coach of The Movement School, where he teaches Parkour, Freerunning, Martial Arts, Buhurt & Fencing.
The Folkvangr land and forest has been in his family for decades and he’s been playing in the forest here since he was a young boy. He grew up constantly playing and roughing it in the bush and is now passionate about all things bushcraft and survival. Building, backcountry camping, hunting and foraging for edible plants, mushrooms and medicinals. He has a deep connection to the animals and living creatures of the land.
When he’s not teaching you’ll find him in a Hammock in the Forest!

Katrina (Kat/Katka) Scott
Katrina is a Folkvangr Founder, one of our main Forest School Teachers, and is also a Yoga Teacher, Massage Therapist, Ayurvedic & Holstic Practioner, Reiki Master & Botanical Product Creator (Folkvangr Apothecary & Healing Room)
She is a Canadian-New Zealander and was raised in Alberta and around the Rocky Mountains of BC. Her father who is a Geologist taught her all about rocks, fossils & crystals, history and plate tectonics.. Her mother was a Zoologist and teacher, who shared her green thumb and her knowledge and love for the animals of the world. Her youth was spent camping, hiking & backpacking. Love for the outdoors and nature is at her core and she loves to share this passion with her three small children and anyone else eager to learn.

Jessica Mclean
Jessica is a co-founder of the Forest School and is one of the main guides & teachers of our Forest School. She is an Early Childhood Educator and also a mom to four, a Canoe and Kayak Instructor, and Herbal Product Creator (Hippie Mama Healing).
She grew up in the Kemptville area of Ontario and spent much of her youth outdoors; hiking, camping and canoeing. She feels most in her element when she’s spending time outdoors in nature. She teaches locally about herbs, foraging and holistic wellness.
